'Climbing to improve physical, mental and social wellbeing'

About

ABOUT Chalk

The Chalk Effect Climbing Project provides an alternative form of therapy for all ages.
Indoor rock climbing and its therapeutic values help to combat poor mental health.

Chalk's mission is to provide people in Cornwall with the opportunity to access climbing as a physical outlet for mental health conditions; ergotherapy.

Chalk's staff and volunteers use our lived experiences to connect with and empower other members whilst facilitating the climbing sessions to provide a safe space to develop deeper understanding of emotions, fears and teamwork whilst breaking down barriers and developing new skills.

"They were all buzzing after the session and cant wait to come again. We feel really blessed to have met you. Your skill and the way you gently encourage our kids to be brave, confident and courageous through climbing.

I can see how transformational climbing has been for you and you are certainly inspiring others. I am sure C will find climbing with you very healing too."

The benefits of Chalk Climbing Project reaches much further than I ever could of thought.
